Fruity & Balanced

Notes of cherry & maple syrup

Notes of syrupy black cherry accompanies by cranberry and blackberry. A bit herbal and naturally sweet like black tea with maple syrup. Lovely, silky finish.

This coffee is sourced from METAD Agricultural Development PLC (METAD), a community-oriented, family-owned business by Aman Adinew, who returned to the motherland after many years working abroad at the executive level for multiple fortune 500 companies because he wanted to make a difference for his family and community. METAD has strengthened the local community with employment opportunities including a workforce that is over seventy percent women, educational opportunities including sponsorship for a state-of-the-art elementary school with more than four hundred students, and healthcare for employees.  METAD was also first to partner with Grounds for Health in Ethiopia to implement a successful cervical cancer screening program for women within the coffee growing communities. To strengthen the local agricultural industry, METAD provides technical assistance and shares modern farming equipment with other local farmers.  METAD also has the first and only private state-of-the-art SCAA certified coffee quality control lab on the African continent used to train both domestic and international coffee professionals.

We Offer Custom Grind

Please add a note at checkout to specify the grind type needed.

Caffeinaked offers 5 types of grind.
Grind size affects how much extraction you get from the coffee. Incorrect grind size will lead to unbalanced flavors (too sour, too bitter) or lack of strength. You should pick a grind type according to your brewing method. If it is a gift and you are not sure what brewing method the receiver uses, we recommend to go with medium grind.

  1. Fine: for espresso machine.
  2. Medium-Fine: for Aeropress, Moka pot, siphon, single-serving pour-over cone.
  3. Medium: for V60, automatic drip machine, refillable K-cup.
  4. Coarse: for French Press, percolator, Chemex.
  5. Ultra-Coarse: for cold brew.
